How our next-day food waste collection service saved money for national food supplier

Although the majority of our clients deliver their waste directly to us, we also offer a full-service logistics solution that enables us to collect food waste from anywhere in the UK. This ability led us to winning a contract with a large national food supplier.

The company supplies finished food products to businesses throughout the UK and needed a next-day waste collection service. Although they had that in place with a previous contractor, they were paying a premium for it and needed to cut costs. That is where we came in.

Due to the nature of the business, there can be anywhere between one pallet and 52 pallets to collect on each load, but our extensive transportation knowledge meant that we could accommodate this at a cost that was acceptable to the client. Pallets are now collected from more than 30 stores ranging from Plymouth to Dundee and delivered to us on the same day or the next working day.

All food waste collected from the client is recorded, securely destroyed and reported back, giving the business peace of mind that the destruction of their food waste is being managed efficiently, correctly and transparently.
